Program Overview

As Psychedelics Enter Mainstream Care, the Question of What Well-Rounded Practice Looks Like Has Never Been More Urgent.

Both research and lived experience increasingly demonstrate that the practitioner is an active participant in shaping the conditions through which a psychedelic experience is held, understood, and integrated.

Yet there is no field-wide consensus on what constitutes well-rounded, effective practice.

Contemporary psychedelic care draws simultaneously from multiple disciplines - clinical science, trauma-informed care, spiritual traditions, Indigenous lineage, somatic practice, relational psychology, and lived human experience.

The psychedelic practitioner is asked to move beyond the boundaries of any single discipline and develop the capacity to hold all of these dimensions simultaneously, as one integrated presence.

Many practitioners, however, enter this field through one particular perspective — whether clinical, scientific, or through spirituality, nature, and contemplative practice. Each perspective brings important strengths. A one-dimensional orientation creates gaps where the practitioner encounters dimensions of the experience they are not equipped to hold - shaping the quality of the therapeutic container and the outcomes participants experience.

If you recognise your own entry point in any of these perspectives, this workshop is designed for you.

This leaves many
aspiring practitioners asking:

What does it take to guide these experiences effectively?

What skills and competencies does this work require beyond what I already bring?

How might integrating this modality into my existing practice look?

In practice, this shows up as a clinician feeling unprepared for the spiritual or existential dimensions that emerge in a session. A spiritually-oriented facilitator not recognising psychological or physiological contraindications. A somatic practitioner encountering the limits of their framework when working with the ineffable, meaning-making dimensions of the work.

Through real practitioner scenarios, this workshop explores what an integrated, well-rounded practice asks of practitioners - and helps you locate where your own orientation, strengths, and developmental edges live within this

What You'll Learn

Exploring What Whole Practice Looks Like

Skilled psychedelic facilitation rests on a range of capacities that extend well beyond any single discipline. Drawing from our faculty's lived experience across Preparation, Medicine Session, and

Integration, this workshop opens a window into what well-rounded practice looks like across the embodied, relational, cognitive, and sacred dimensions of the work — and invites you to consider where your own orientation, strengths, and developmental edges live within it.

Embodied Presence
& Nervous SystemRegulation
How the body functions as a primary instrument of awareness - somatic signals, physical presence, and co-regulation in practice.
Cultural Humility
& Positionality Awareness
How a practitioner's own cultural positioning shapes the relational container and what leading with curiosity looks like.
Screening, Assessment
& ReadinessDetermination
How trauma-informed screening works in practice - and how clinical judgment operates, including when to decline and refer.
Preparation Session
Facilitation
How preparation is relational rather than procedural — the first weaving of the field of trust.
