At Synthesis Institute, we recognize the importance of culturally responsible care and collective liberation within the psychedelic ecosystem. We understand the significance of anti-oppression work and acknowledge that our organization still has much work to do on this front. Part of this commitment means peeling back layers of colonization in mental health and wellness and examining how systems of oppression and privilege impact access to our educational programs.
As one step in our commitment to inclusivity and diversity, we offer scholarships at 20% and 40% tuition reductions to qualified applicants. Priority is given to individuals who have been impacted by systemic oppression or financial hardship — including race, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, immigration status, disability, or country of origin. This includes applicants from the Global South and others for whom the cost of training represents a significant financial barrier.
